Rev. Amanda Jayne Wilson, B.Msc.
Rev. Dr. Amanda Wilson joined American Public University System in 2008, after four years teaching and coaching in Jefferson County, West Virginia. Amanda serves as the Associate Vice President of Student and Alumni Affairs, developing and expanding co-curricular programming and engagement opportunities for students and alumni primarily at a distance. Throughout her tenure, Amanda has developed the strategy and laid the groundwork for a variety of core programs, including Campus Leadership, mentoring, student organizations, virtual communities, and alumni relations. Alongside her cocurricular program portfolio, Amanda is also an adjunct professor teaching MBA students and serving as a practicum experience coordinator.
Amanda is a member of the Golden Key International Honor Society, the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, and the founder of the West Virginia Students’ Alliance. In 2015, she was elected to a 3-year term on Golden Key’s International Council of Advisors, serving as the U.S. Region 2 Representative.
Amanda is a graduate of Leadership West Virginia’s Class of 2017, a program for emerging leaders across the state, and she was selected for the 2018 Marquis Who’s Who List for professionals to watch. In 2021, she completed the Leadership Jefferson program focused on local community leadership and community involvement.
Amanda holds a Doctor of Business Administration (Walden University), a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing (American Public University), a Bachelor of Science in English (Radford University), and a Bachelor of Metaphysical Science (University of Metaphysics). She also holds a professional certificate in Women in Educational Leadership from Harvard University and is an ordained minister. Her academic and professional interests center on leadership development, personal growth, and fostering community wellness through programs that encourage connection, belonging, service, and holistic well-being.
