Keys to Maintaining Happiness in a Bad Economy: Your happiness does not depend on what’s going on around you. It depends on what’s going on within you—by your level of consciousness. Allow the Christ part of your mind to be in control, and God’s Presence will nourish you with the energy of happiness—no matter what’s going on in the economy.

• Within: I realize that whether there is a good economy a bad one, happiness is dependent on what is going on within me, rather that what surrounds me.
• Consciousness: I recognize that happiness is a state of mind that should be influenced most by the level of consciousness that controls me.
• Christ Mind: I recognize the Christ part of mind—one with God’s Spirit of Love, Peace, Beauty, Wholeness, Healing, Creativity, and Wisdom—as that which most influences me with God’s happiness-creating attributes.
• Happiness List: I create a list of reasons I have to be happy in my life and review them daily.
• Source Thanks: Every day as I review my happiness list, I give thanks to God as the Source of all happiness in my life.
• Release: As quickly as I can when I begin feeling unhappy, I release the unhappy energy to God’s Healing Presence within me, and bring my mind back into focus on what is on my happiness list.
• Relationship to God: As mystics and illuminated souls have realized through the ages, I recognize that the experience of happiness exists in proportion to my relationship to God’s Presence within me.
• Meditation: Through my daily practice of meditation, I contact the Christ part of my mind and, through the Christ Light, find God’s Presence, whose Spirit nourishes my mind and soul with the energy presence of happiness.
• Material Needs: I acknowledge that God’s Presence within me knows my every material need and, according to my oneness with God’s Presence through the Christ-Mind Light within me, is supplying me.

Motherhood Viewed Mystically: The eternal and infinite creative process of God is made manifest in physical motherhood. Said another way, motherhood duplicates in finite form God’s Spirit of giving life throughout the universe, and God’s love for Spirit’s creations finds expression in a mother’s love.

Illusions and Realities of Life: What your ego sees in the physical world is an illusion. What it sees as bad may be something good. What it sees as many separate lives is really the One Life of God manifesting as us all. And what it sees as love may really be need and lust. Only the God part of your mind sees the true reality.

• Appearances: My personal ego intellectual mind may only be able to see the sensory illusion of something in the physical world, while the Christ Mind part of my consciousness—one with God’s Presence within me—can see beyond any physical appearances to the reality of what really is.
• Good and Bad: What may appear as bad to begin with may only be an illusion, blocking out the reality of good that will come about as a result.
• Short and Long Term: On a short-term basis, anything may give an illusion of good or bad, while the reality of whether it is ultimately good or bad can only be known on a long-term basis.
• One Life: The physical life appearance/illusion is that there are many lives on this planet, while the reality is that there is ultimately only One Life in the entire universe—that of God.
• Existence: The illusion is that only this one lifetime exists for humans, while the reality is that everyone is inseparable from eternity, or God’s Presence, and therefore lives on eternally.
• Personal Ego Intellectual Identity: The illusion is that every human being seems to be a separate entity, while the reality is that only God’s Life exists—hidden within—and manifests in the illusion of separate existences or humans.
• Love, or…? The illusion is that love might exist between two people, but the reality is that need and lust are posing as love, unless the Love of the One Life of God flows between those two people.
• Aloneness: The illusion is that you are alone unless you are with another person, while the reality is that you are always in the companionship of the Only Presence that really exists—God’s Life within and as a part of you.
• Karma: The illusion is that one can escape the results of negative actions, or fail to reap the rewards of positive actions, while the reality is that it is only a matter of time when the karmic result materializes.
• Spirituality: The illusion is that a person grows spiritually, while the reality is that they reawaken to what they already are, at whatever level of spirituality that might be.
• True Wealth: Wealth is not the illusion of what is contained in one’s purse or wallet, but in warmth, joy, and love of the spiritual heart that is shared with God’s Presence.

Wealth-Producing Creative Ideas: All it takes to produce wealth is one creative idea. So how do you come up with that idea? Recognize that all wealth-producing ideas come from God’s Presence at the center of your mind. By meditating daily and turning over your will to God’s Will, you are better able to become aware of those ideas.
