Dr. Masters peacefully made his transition into the light on Sunday, January 10, 2016. His last few days were filled with thoughts and words of love for his students and staff, and he passed gently in his sleep.

It was divine recognition that the particular Mystical Insight that had been set last week to appear in Sunday’s email spoke of beingness and transition:

Yet, if the mystical truth be told, everyone already exists in an after-death or astral plane. We exist there all our physical lives, from the time we take our first physical breath–and yes, even before that.

This other existence is another dimensional energy body that is a part of one of several dimensions that make up one’s beingness. To add to this mystery of one’s beingness, conscious life activity exists at every level of one’s beingness.

Passing on, or the ending of one’s physical life, is a shifting from physical awareness to astral awareness, and that already exists and has been living an existence in the afterlife or astral world…. Yes, you are many lives being lived simultaneously.

The enormity of this reality of your beingness cannot be overstated.

As Dr. Masters always wanted, we, the staff of the International Metaphysical Ministry, will continue his legacy of Love into the future. His teachings and ministry will continue through the University of Metaphysics and the University of Sedona, his websites, and upcoming publications. The International Convention and Graduation Ceremony taking place this May will offer formal tribute to Dr. Masters’ lifetime achievements.

It was his heartfelt wish and intention that his students and graduates continue their ministries through their loving actions and service.

Beloved teacher, counselor, mentor, friend, and Sedona resident since 2003, Paul Leon Masters, 81, passed peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, January 10, 2016.

Paul Masters moved to Sedona after a visit with a friend. He felt so drawn to Sedona’s beauty and power that he re-located his distance-learning metaphysical university and ministry here.

Born in Syracuse, New York and growing up in Los Angeles, California, Paul Masters had been drawn since a young boy to the mysteries of life, the universe, the mind, the soul, and the Presence of a Higher Intelligence — or God — behind creation. What he had studied in California metaphysical colleges caused him to thirst for more knowledge about the mystical as well as any form of psychology that had an appreciation of the mystical. He went on to achieve advanced degrees in mystical psychology and New Thought.

In 1959, Dr. Masters opened the Institute of Parapsychology in the heart of Beverly Hills, California. The aim of the institute was to research expanded, higher states of consciousness and meditation as they relate to spiritual reality and human self-betterment. Over the next several decades, he taught many new teachers and founded what would become the National Metaphysics Institute in 1965 for the ordination of new ministers. In 1976 the University of Metaphysics replaced the Institute of Parapsychology for the study of metaphysics. All during this time he was presenting public talks to packed auditoriums in the Los Angeles area, and as word spread he began offering distance learning and ministerial ordination throughout the United States. Word caught on in other countries, and in 1989, to meet the needs of this enormous growth, Dr. Masters incorporated the International Metaphysical Ministry, which is still operating today throughout the world.

After moving to Sedona, Dr. Masters founded the University of Sedona in 2003 to be in concert with the University of Metaphysics, both under the guidance of the International Metaphysical Ministry. All three organizations continue to operate here under his Board of Trustees and dedicated staff.

Having earned recognition as one of the world’s foremost teachers in the field of mystical psychology and New Thought, Dr. Masters’ contributions have been those of a trail-blazer. Both of his non-profit universities have a curriculum that is strictly non-secular and theological in nature, and they have become the world’s largest schools of their kind, spanning 123 countries with over 10,000 students and graduates. In addition to his Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral degree offerings at the Universities, Masters has produced hundreds of lectures that cover nearly every Metaphysical topic related to improving one’s connection to Universal or Christ-Mind Consciousness and one’s relationships — with oneself and with others.

As far as the wisdom and knowledge he has gained, Paul Masters always gave full credit to prolonged contact with the inner Universal, Christ-Mind Guidance during his experiences in higher consciousness meditation. Many other people throughout the world, from all walks of life, have been able to fulfill their inner promptings to higher spiritual understanding and awareness as a result of learning about their true inner guidance as taught by Dr. Masters.

Dr. Paul Leon Masters’ vision continues to live on and thrive through the dedication and commitment of his trusted staff here in Sedona and his beloved students and graduates throughout the world. A private memorial service will be held at Seventh Day Adventist church in Sedona on January 22 at noon.

Dear Students, Graduates, and Friends,

It is with bittersweet sadness, yet also with great joy that we send out this newsletter to share Dr. Masters Memorial Service with all of you.

On a sunny Friday at noon, on January 22, we gathered to celebrate the life of Dr. Masters in a church perched upon a hill of red rocks that overlooks the glorious mountains of Sedona.

Longtime friends and devoted staff spoke and sang, paying tribute to our beloved Founder, while the same caring team that films our conventions and graduations recorded it all, so that we may share everything with you.

To again borrow a quote from the Mystical Insight that was sent out the same Sunday that Dr. Masters made his gentle transition, we present these following words of his…

Yes, you are many lives being lived simultaneously. The enormity of this reality of your beingness cannot be overstated.

One may then ask – if all this is true, what should I do?

– Live your life as you have, and God’s Presence within you will guide you.

– By meditating daily and constantly releasing the false sense of personal will and ego identity that dominates, rather than God’s Presence, a higher state of awareness will gradually begin guiding your awareness and life.

– Eventually, whether in this physical lifetime or another, we become aware of the various states of our beingness; and through the Grace of God’s Presence, we integrate all levels into a harmonious working Wholeness of Beingness.

It is not impossible – for in Absolute Truth – all that will be, already is.

Message from Rev. Michelle-Angela Behr

We extend our gratitude to all our members for the outpouring of love and support we have received since Dr. Masters made his peaceful transition to a different plane of existence. He might not be with us in person, but his presence and influence continues to guide and lead us from above.

I had the privilege of working closely with Dr. Masters as the Office Manager/Administrator for 16 years and observing his commitment to ensure his teachings were affordable and made available to everybody worldwide. It was also Dr. Masters’ intention that his timeless teachings carry on for eternity.

As Dr. Masters asked, everything will continue on as before. This includes Dr. Masters’ Daily Messages, Weekly Broadcasts and Mystical Insights. The May Convention and Formal Cap and Gown Graduation Ceremony will still take place. The theme will celebrate Dr. Masters’ life, so please show your support by attending. We also have dynamic and exciting projects in the pipeline we will be unveiling during the course of the next few months.

I would speak to Dr. Masters numerous times during the day, and he would end the conversation with the words “carry on.” It is Dr. Masters’ wishes that we all “carry on.” He would often say our members are all torchbearers blazing a trail of light across the world and by living the example, they make a loving difference. In his honor, we ask that each and every one of you continue to carry your torch wherever you go.

May we all continue Dr. Masters’ legacy!

Dr. Masters may have passed away physically, but we know he has transitioned into spirit, soaring beyond our physical plane in unification with Divine Universe.

Dr. Masters was a father figure, Dr. Masters was a friend, and Dr. Masters was a teacher in metaphysics. During my 25 years of knowing Dr. Masters, his teachings and wisdom have grown to a worldwide ministry in metaphysics. In our many dialogues on many subjects, including metaphysics, he has emphasized nurturing disciples of the Spirit, the Universal Christ-Mind.

Dr. Masters has built from his decades of loyalty and devotion to the metaphysical ministry a strong and enduring foundation. The organization, with its Board of Directors, Officers, and support staff continue to work together to perpetuate the teachings of Dr. Masters’ Metaphysical Ministry into the future.

We are together in Love with Dr. Masters.

And so it is!

 

Continuing the Legacy of Dr. Paul Leon Masters

We invite you to view “Celebrating the Legacy of Dr. Paul Leon Masters.” We’ve now included Graduate Association logos.

January 10th marked the one year anniversary of our beloved Founder, Dr. Paul Leon Masters’ transition to the other side. On behalf of the board of directors and university staff, we would like to take this opportunity to thank our members for their words of encouragement and support during this time of adjustment. Your support has meant so much.

Special thanks go out to our May 2016 IMM Convention attendees who participated in our first convention and graduation without Dr. Masters. It was a heartfelt and special time for us all.

Dr. Masters dedicated his life to service and devoted 56 years to higher consciousness research and education. It was his desire and commitment that his teachings would be affordable and available to any person in need of them. He planned for his teachings to continue on long after his passing. We are passionately committed to fulfilling Dr. Masters’ wish that his students and graduates continue their ministries through their loving actions and service, and that the integrity of his teachings are maintained and preserved for future generations to follow.

In honor of Dr. Masters’ life’s work and in support of the continuation and expansion of his legacy, we have the pleasure and privilege of detailing what you can expect to see in the coming year.

– Timeless Wisdom Series: Never before released audio lectures by Dr. Masters, which span 30 years and cover a variety of spiritual and metaphysical topics. The pearls of wisdom contained within these lectures are indeed timeless treasures.

– Never before released video lectures by Dr. Masters, which span 40 years. These include lectures and meditation workshops conducted at the Metaphysics Institute in Los Angeles, dating back to 1976.

– The publication of Meditation Dynamics, which follows Dr. Masters’ book, Mystical Insights: Knowing the Unknown.

– The publication of affirmation booklets, featuring the affirmations from Dr. Masters’ Improve Your Life Inspirational Lectures.

– The expansion of metaphysics.com to include a gateway to member-provided services and products.

The release of this special material helps to provide a solid foundation to keep the spirit of Dr. Masters’ legacy alive. Equally as important, it helps to empower university staff with the opportunity to pass the baton over to the next generation of staff, and for our members to pass the baton over to the next generation of light workers.

In conclusion, the continuation of Dr. Masters’ legacy would not be possible without your continued support and your dedication to living the example of his teachings. You carry a beacon of light wherever you go, and this helps bring hope, encouragement, and love to a world in desperate need of it.
