Merritt Smith

Min. Merritt A. Smith, B.Msc.

merritt-smith-uom

Merritt earned his Bachelor of Metaphysical Science degree in January of 2024. Growing up in Philadelphia, PA, as a youngster, he attended parochial schools. He always felt that there was something not quite right with what he was being taught, and when he questioned the teachings, he found the response to his questions to be filled with anger and a desire to suppress his inquiries. As a child, stories of time travel, telepathy, and other unique presentations of metaphysics always fascinated him.

At age 16, he came across an old book called The Law of Mentalism written by A. Victor Sengo that was published in the early 1900s. This book, however, changed his spiritual trajectory, and he began pursuing other avenues to inner discovery. He was a church musician for many years, although he never discussed his personal feelings or attitude towards religious dogma.

In the early 2000s, he began pursuing meditation more regularly and, with access to more information, began reading the writings of Michael Beckwith, Neville Goddard, Dr. Joseph Murphy, Rev. Ike, and many others. Finally, he said yes to this life’s calling as a Light Worker.

Minister Merrit writes a biweekly column for The Omaha Star Newspaper; he has also established a weekly meditation class at the Omaha downtown YMCA, and he offers counseling and stress management services as well as a volunteer mentor. He is also a volunteer reader for the blind at the RTBS center in Omaha, Nebraska.
