Secret Teachings of Christ, Part 3

Secret Teachings of Christ, Part 3: There is both an outer and an inner—or secret—meaning to the teachings of Christ. The reason for that is this: Even though some people are awakened enough to comprehend the inner truths, other people—particularly those in the more materialistic, physically-oriented Western culture—are not. For them, the more abstract inner truths must be cloaked in symbolism. While they can readily accept the focus of outer teachings, such as teachings about the personage of Jesus, they are not open to the deeper inner teachings, such as the one that centers on the mind that was in Christ Jesus and is in everyone—the Christ Mind. These are the teachings that were given only to the disciples, who had reached a certain level of spiritual awakening enabling them to more readily comprehend the teachings.

In “Secret Teachings of Christ, Part 3,” Dr. Masters focuses on the Kingdom of Heaven. When Jesus refers to “The Kingdom of Heaven,” many assume he is talking about a place in the afterlife—where God lives. But the “secret” teaching is not that at all. In fact, it’s not even a secret, for Jesus plainly states that The Kingdom of Heaven is “at hand” . . . it is “here and now” . . . it is “within you.” In other words, he is saying that the Presence of God is within you, and reachable right now! So when Jesus says, “Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and all things shall be added unto you,” what does he really mean? Simply this: Through prayer and meditation seek the Presence of God within yourself—at the center of your mind—and allow God’s wisdom to surface into your conscious awareness. In so doing, you will be divinely directed to be at the right place at the right time to receive whatever it is you need in life.

In a letter to the Corinthians, the Apostle Paul expressed life’s goal in these words: “And now abide faith, hope, and love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.”

Beyond human definitions of silence and love, there exists the realm of original Silence, Peace, and Love, where conflict and duality do not exist, and where all are in Ultimate Union with the One. Here, no words need to be spoken or thoughts responded to. Being in Absolute Love is to open oneself to Absolute Silence, Peace, Presence, or God.
