Rev. Maureen R. Roe, B.Msc.
Maureen is a dedicated coach who helps people overcome limiting beliefs, negative thoughts, self criticism and judgment, and feelings of unworthiness. She’s spent much of her career helping people shift their beliefs about themselves and to think differently. Whether it’s past experiences, fear of not being accepted, eating habits, or body image, she guides her client to stop judging and start accepting.
As someone who came from an authoritative and critical environment, Maureen experienced her own limitations in being able to authentically express herself in both her personal life and throughout her business career, limiting her achievements and success. After a major career set-back, Maureen utilized her spiritual teachings and practices and learned to step outside her own guilt feelings. She learned that her thoughts and feelings deserved to be heard and felt, and she learned to accept herself and know that she is worthy and valued.
Her own personal experiences and extensive career experience produces one recurring theme: Her dedication to nurturing people through coaching and spiritual guidance in areas of physical image, self criticism, and authentic personal expression. Maureen’s programs include Done with Judging Yourself Freedom Coaching and Done with Criticizing Your Body Freedom Coaching. Maureen is also the author of the e-book Stop Criticizing Yourself Now: 7 Ways to Stop Criticizing Yourself and Feel Good Again, which can be claimed on her website.
In addition to her formal business education where she holds the advanced degree of a Masters of Science in Administration, Maureen also is a registered corporate coach, certified weight loss coach, and an ordained minister with a Bachelor’s Degree in Metaphysics.
Maureen’s philosophy for her coaching practice is modeled from the adage: Give a man a fish you feed him for a day, but teach him to fish and you feed him for life. Maureen coaches her clients to integrate the tools and techniques she teaches to keep them from spiraling back to a place of negativity and unworthiness. Unlike the “guru” mentality of many coaches, Maureen is about helping any individual to learn the “break free” mindset to keep out of the mental prison of thoughts of judgment and unworthiness, as well as self-sabotaging behaviors.
Maureen offers Stop Me Please Discovery Sessions as a gift. These focus on some quick steps one can take to silence the judgmental voice and create a vision and a plan to live life without judgment. In addition to coaching, Maureen also offers workshops, classes, and teleconferences to help people struggling with these issues. Maureen also hosts a Meetup group where members can learn to integrate these practices into their lives. A portion of all coaching proceeds go to support new thought teachings, senior respite care, and meals on wheels programs.
