Dr. Sandra Jewell, Ph.D.

 

Dr. Sandra Jewell believes in continuous education.  That is evident by her completion of a BA-Criminal Justice from Georgia State University – Atlanta, GA; Masters – Theology from Florida International Seminary – Plymouth, FL; Masters – Counseling from Argosy University – Chicago, IL; and finally, she has earned her Doctor of Philosophy, Ph.D., specializing in Pastoral Counseling, from University of Sedona – Sedona, AZ.

Her work has been in ministry, project development, capacity building, church planting, inmate development, training and curriculum development.  This work has taken her to many parts of the world for at least a year in each location.  She has lived and served in Arizona, Illinois, West Africa, Georgia, Minnesota, Virginia, and DC.  If you ask her why she does it, she will simply say, “When the Lord whispers for me to go, I go.”

Dr. Jewell has held positions as an Equal Employment Opportunity Specialist, Counselor, Federal Fund Raiser, Program Developer and Manager, Independent Contractor, Trainer for the federal government, private industry, and non-profits, Entrepreneur, Chaplain, Radio Talk Show Host, Pastor; and she has worked with AMERICORPS as a Volunteer In Service To America (VISTA).  Currently she is a TV Talk Show Host (Pastor “J” Live can only be viewed in the Illinois area).

Sandra’s personal motto is to help other to be the best they can be.  She has even found time to write and publish two books: PAULA PEACOCK DISCOVERS SHE IS UNIQUE (a positive self-image building book for children); and FREEING THE MIND FREES THE PRISONER (a daily meditation book for adults).

Sandra is an avid reader and is a truly unique motivational speaker.  She weaves her message in such an entertaining manner that her audiences are left in awe of her experiences but motivated to conquer their next windmill.

In ministry, she has worked with various denominations to help them either expand their current ministry or develop other aspects.  Some of the denominations are Baptist, non-Denomination, United Church of Christ, Christian, Science of Mind, Truth, Unity, Metaphysics and Evangelical Lutheran.  In her counseling, she helps her clients discover their strengths by using hypnotherapy, temperament counseling, science of mind teachings and metaphysical techniques.

Dr. Jewell loves to see and help people grow, saying, “When they grow, so do I.”
