When life is lived from within, there is so much more to see and be aware of in the world that physically surrounds you. Most people, however, live life from without. That is, they live life based only on input from their outer five senses.

Throughout the ages, individuals possessing inner wisdom discovered the betterment of living life from within themselves. Living life from within yourself means turning inward to an innate inner—or higher—consciousness. Christ referred to this higher consciousness as “The Kingdom of Heaven within.” He admonished people to “Seek ye first the Kingdom of Heaven, and all things will be added unto you.”

Ascending Levels of Spirituality

Ascending Levels of Spirituality: There are many levels of spirituality that affect a person’s life. At the most basic level, people worship nature objects. At a higher level, dimensions of gods and goddesses are psychically experienced. Only at the highest level is there a direct experience of oneness with the Consciousness of God.

  • Many Levels: I understand that there are many levels of spirituality—from the most primitive and basic of the baby soul level to the most advanced old soul, Christ-like level, and that each level affects a person’s human life in some way.
  • Nature Worship Without Christ Awareness: I understand that at the most basic level, human beings worship nature objects without an awareness of a Supreme Creator.
  • God’s, Goddesses, Angels, Spirit Guides: I understand that humans can ascend from nature worship to psychically experience dimensions of gods, goddesses, angels, and spirit guides, which is a psychic tourist trap for baby souls.
  • God – Out There: I understand that human awareness may ascend from god/goddess/guides and angel dimensions to an awareness that there is a Supreme Creator—out there—in the form one would imagine God to be in.
  • Traditional Orthodoxy: I understand that from an awareness of a Supreme God/Creator, my soul may live in an in-between zone, where spirituality is seen as organized religion and there is a need to belong to a group.
  • New Age: I understand that many people, having outgrown religious dogma, will look to finding a different lifestyle in New Age approaches, such as psychism, psychic readings, tarot, and crystals—all of which tend to remove the central focus from God-centeredness to objects, or the return to other-dimensional entities.
  • Metaphysical: I understand that a metaphysical approach to spirituality may encompass a psychological/philosophical combination approach to age-old questions of life’s mysteries, such as “Who am I? What am I?” and similar questions of the mind and spirit.
  • Mystical: I understand that the final ascension of spirituality of an old soul occurs at a mystical level, or direct experience of an inner state of onement consciousness with God.
  • Human Life Effect: I realize that every level a person may be on affects their daily life in matters of health, material needs, love, and other matters of human concern.

Your life can be better if you have a commitment to God. Those who have truly worked their way up to a more fulfilling and satisfactory life have had a commitment of some sort, whether to oneself or to another. Commitment helps to keep one focused until one has achieved the desired goal.

When people are committed to something, they maximize their effort of time and energy. Maximizing one’s effort increases the likelihood that results will be achieved. Many individuals who have been committed to achieving goals have done so without a conscious thought about God. Yet, unconsciously, through commitment, they have drawn upon God’s Presence and Resources to achieve what they have desired.

How to be God-Guided

How to Be God-Guided: In this lecture, Dr. Masters teaches that to be God-guided—and through that guidance achieve your soul’s purpose for this lifetime more readily—you must be as close to God as possible. That means giving up your personal will to God’s Will and thinking more like God, which is thinking about everyone’s needs—not just your own.

  • Priority: I realize that to be God-guided I must be as close to God as possible, and therefore make my relationship to God the number one priority in my life.
  • Dedication: I dedicate my body, mind, and soul to God’s Presence within me, for the greater my dedication, the more God-guidance I receive.

“Life’s Lessons”

As you go through life, stop periodically and ask yourself, “Am I learning life’s lessons?” For most people, life is like a physical cosmic plane workshop, ranging in human experience from great highs to great lows. What you learn or don’t learn from life’s experiences becomes the measure of your life. All experiences are part of a learning process, which translates itself spiritually into bringing forth the perfection of God into human form.

When the concept of reincarnation arises, you must ask what its purpose is. The answer given by most experts is that a soul keeps reincarnating until it gets it right. This means reincarnating until a soul has learned the lessons of human life sufficiently to have gained mastery over the human mind and soul, with such mastery manifesting as a Christ-like consciousness. As you learn through life’s experiences, you should arrive at a sense and understanding of life’s true concerns—a knowing of the real, main priorities in life.

You’re Perfect Already—Being It

You are already perfect because the real you is one with the perfection of God’s Presence within you. Being that perfection requires you to maintain daily contact with the perfection of God’s Attributes within you—attributes such as Creativity, Wisdom, and Love—and channel them into your daily life.

Whoever first said that happiness is a state of mind was correct! If you are unhappy about yourself, your life, or anything for that matter, it is a change of consciousness that can turn despair and depression into happiness. You have the innate capacity to have a transforming consciousness—God—take over your mind, and immediately sublimate negative thought energy into positive, happy thought energy or consciousness.

Mysteries of Christ Consciousness

Mysteries of Christ Consciousness: When St. Paul said “Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus,” the mind he was referring to was Christ Consciousness. Christ Consciousness exists within everyone’s mind. It is the contact point between mortal consciousness and God’s Consciousness, and can be reached through meditation.

In recent years, the world has advanced enormously in technology—like the proverbial snowball rolling downhill, building momentum as it goes. Outwardly, society is being transformed from what it once was to the extreme, fast pace of today. However, while the physical sciences are accelerating, human beings and their consciousness remain basically the same. This brings about the dilemma of greater technological power in the hands of unaware souls with frailty and the propensity for violence and inhumane acts.

The need for human transformation from base to higher consciousness has existed throughout the ages. However, at no time in human history has so much technology been available with the ability to destroy all of humanity in a matter of minutes. A few miscalculations on the part of the consciousness of a small number of people—or even one—could result in the annihilation of the entire human race.

Deprogramming Negative Illusions: All negativity arises from the illusion of a personal selfhood that is separate from the One Life of God. The way to eliminate that negativity is to connect with God’s Presence within you, sublimating all negative thoughts and feelings into the positive energy of God’s Light, with which you are one.
